The Sri Kasi Nattukkottai Nagara Chatram at Varanasi can be easily accessed. Located at Godowlia near the Lord Viswanath Temple, which is a landmark.It can be reached from the airport, railway station and bust stop easily. Cabs and autorickshaws besides public transport like buses ply to this place.

By Air:
Reaching Varanasi by air is very convenient since its well-connected to major Indian cities by air. The Varanasi airport or Babatpur airport lies 22 Kms from the city  and  daily domestic flights ply between Varanasi and several other cities in India. The daily flights serving Delhi-Agra-Khajuraho-Varanasi route provide regular air access to Varanasi.

Regular filghts are operated from Chennai to Varanasi by Jet Airlines, Indian Airlines, Sahara Airlines, Kingfisher Airlines and so on. Taxis from the airport to the Satram will be arranged by the Satram manager on request.

By Rail :
Varanasi is located in the heartland of the North Indian plains. It is well connected by rail to major Indian cities like Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and so on. The Kashi Junctions and Varanasi Junction (also known as Varanasi Cantonment) railway stations are the best ways to reach here. The Rajdhani Express from Delhi or Kolkata that pass through Varanasi are a good choice.

Regular trains are also available from Mughalsarai, just 10 kms south of Varanasi. The Mughal Sarai railway junction has almost all the trains from the east, north-east and some trains for the south and western region crossing the station.

The Varanasi Express, Train No. 6039 connects Chennai with Varanasi. The Ganga Kaveri Train Number 2670 is available on Mondays and Wednesdays and connects both cities.

By Road :
This is positioned on the flat Gangetic plains, Varanasi is very well connected by a network of roads and road transport to all the major towns of Uttar Pradesh and surrounding areas. Regular public and private buses ply in the city. The Varanasi Bus Stand, 250 km from the railway station is the place from where most buses leave.

Varanasi is on the national highway number 2 from Calcutta to Delhi and is well-connected by roads to all the corners of the nation. The distance between Varanasi and the important cities are Delhi ( 780 km), Gaya (250 km), Dhanbad (408 km), Jhansi (511km), Kanpur (320 km), and Lucknow ( 300 km).

Weather
Like most cities of the Ganga plains, the weather and climate of Varanasi is hot in summer and cool and pleasant in winter. The best time to visit Varanasi is during the months of October to April. The temperatures in summer range from Summer - Max: 46oC Min: 32oC and in Winter - Max: 15oC Min: 5oC
